C.Michael  Brae, CEO, Co-Founder, Chairman

C. Michael Brae began his career on New York's Wall Street after graduating with a double Bachelors degree in Marketing and Advertising from the University of San Francisco, holds a Masters Degree in Marketing from Madison University and currently a PhD Candidate in Marketing & Business Sciences. Mr. Brae began Hitman Records in 1991 and solidified a joint venture with SOLAR (Sounds of Los Angeles Records - "A Division of RCA Records"). Later in 1997, Hitman Records obtained distribution from Bayside Distribution. The record label then began a period of artist acquisition and development, which focused on Hip-Hop, Rap, R&B and Gospel genres. During this period, Mr. Brae represented well-known and established artists, such as Samuelle (double-platinum and Grammy award winning singer from the R&B group Club Nouveau) and Mac Dash Mone (former member of the double-platinum group Digital Underground). In addition, Mr. Brae is also founder and CEO of MP4Player Inc. and co-founder-Chairman of Vision Distribution. Mr. Brae business entrepreneurship savviness has been harnessed in the academic world, as he has taught over 8 years business courses in Music Industry as an adjunct professor at several prestigious universities and colleges as UCLA (Entertainment Studies), San Francisco State University (MRI), Dominican University of California and University of the Pacific to name a few.  If you cant make his classes and /or hear him in a business seminar feel free learn his style through his books Music Distribution; Selling Music in the New Entertainment Industry (1st & 2nd editions). Currently he is Chairman on the Board of Hitman Records, Inc. and Chairman of MP4Player Inc. and board member for AADA (American Asian Development Association). Pamela R. Kelly, Secretary, Operations Director, Board Member

Pamela R. Kelly is currently the Southeast Regional Administrative Director for the Veteran Healthcare Administration Epilepsy Centers of Excellence. This program was mandated by Public Law to improved the healthcare services offer by the VHA to Veterans diagnosed with epilepsy or seizure disorders. Prior to her current position, Ms. Kelly served as Staff Assistant to the Network Director at the VA Mid-South Health care Network (VISN 9) in May 2008. In this role, she was responsible for all duties as the principle Administrative Officer for the Network Director and a key liaison for communication among facilities, the VISN, and VA Central Office. Ms. Kelly earned a Masters of Business Administration (Health care Management) from the University of Phoenix and completed undergraduate studies at the University of Miami, Coral Gables, Florida. Ms. Kelly has also completed classes for her doctorate in health care administration with the University of Phoenix and is currently working on her dissertation. Ms. Kelly is a US Navy Veteran honored with multiple commendations and the Naval Achievement Medal for her roles in Quality Management for the laboratory at the Twenty-nine Palms Naval Hospital located in Twenty-nine Palms, CA. Following her enlistment, Ms. Kelly worked - and subsequently supervised - in a civilian medical laboratory, taught high school advance placement biology, and was proprietor of a retail store.  Wanting to serve Veterans, Ms. Kelly accepted employment with the Department of Veterans Affairs Veterans Health Administration. Other prior VA positions include Laboratory Manager and later Health Systems Specialist in the Performance Improvement Department at the Fayetteville, North Carolina VA Medical Center. Ms. Kelly is also certified medical technologist, certified College of American Pathologist (CAP) surveyor, a member of American College Healthcare Executives (ACHE) where she was elected Secretary for the Sandhills Chapter, and North Carolina American Association of Blood Banks (AABB). Outside work, she is very active in her two daughters (Mickeal and Maya) school activities. She volunteers with the high school and elementary Parents Association as newsletter editor, helps with Tennessee homeless programs and works with her church coordinating events and activities.

Norma Y. Davis-Atkins, Treasurer, Board Member

Norma Yvette Davis-Atkins a native of Chicago currently resides in Mt. Juliet, a suburb of Nashville. Mrs. Davis-Atkins graduated from Drake University in Des Moines in Iowa. While in college, she interned for Iowa Senate Majority Leader, Lowell Junkins as a writer.  After graduating from college she moved to the San Francisco Bay Area and became a writer for the president of World Savings and Loan.  Living in California gave her even more insight to different ways of life and culture. I learned that in this world, you accept people as they are and most importantly be true to yourself.  It was during this time, she wanted to make a difference and began volunteering by designing and writing for The Bay Area Black United Fund's newspaper, a non-profit organization. Through the years, she has worked as a public relations coordinator for a P.R. agency in Dallas, Texas and continued to become actively involved in the community while joining various organizations.  Mrs. Davis-Atkins continued actively in the community to her current residence in Mt. Juliet, Tennessee where she became a board member of the Willoughby Station Homeowners Association and served on the board as secretary for a two year term. Upon moving to Nashville in 1995, she received her paralegal certificate in which she worked for a law firm for a year which lead to her current position as a paralegal for Bridgestone Firestone.  Mrs. Davis-Atkins specializes in traditional paralegal work but also has had the pleasure of working with the engineering division product liability claims.  In 2009, she was nominated and accepted as a board member of (Junior Achievement of Middle Tennessee) representing Bridgestone Americas, Inc.  

James Womack, External Relations Coordinator, Board Member

James Womack, II began his professional career in the field of science as a forensic medicine technologist for the State of New Jersey.  His entrepreneurial spirit led him to venture into other areas of interest eventually connecting him Lauren Hill, the Grammy award-winning hip-hop recording artist and lead singer of The Fugees.  It was Lauren Hill who convinced him to go into the music industry and start a management company.   In 1999 he met and was mentored by Vincent Herbert, who manages artists such as Lady Gaga, in the production and management aspect of the music industry.  After meeting Vincent Herbert, James began networking with such artists as Kenneth (Babyface) Edmonds and Andre Harrell of NU America, a label through Interscope Records.  Upon his arrival to Los Angeles, he officially signed recording artists such as Carly Blair and Joanna Levesque (JoJo).  In 2000, James formed his own company known as Strictly Entertainment, LLC, which began as an artist management and development company and has evolved into a complete multi-management and media company focusing on various areas of music, film, television, merchandising, and music and special events production.  He is currently one of the executive producers of the “Family DeBarge” reality series scheduled to premier in the Fall.

Veda Smith was inspired by the arts at young age. She began singing opera at 13 and had received an opera scholarship at Fisk University and University of Chattanooga. She also, attended Middle Tennessee State University and majored in Mass Communication with a minor in Theater and Dance. Her career in the arts has allowed her to perform for governors and dignitaries within the US. In the areas of music production, Ms. Smith writes and arranges music compositions. Ms. Smiths background of operations and corporate management stems from years of experience as a regional supervisor for Nutri-System. She has worked with major talent agencies and companies securing major corporate sponsorship for events. Ms. Smith additionally has theatrical experience with over 3 years in costume production, make-up design and choreography for MTSU Theater & Dance Department. Ms Smith incorporated 2 years of experience as a costume coordinator for the major show I Here America Singing. In addition to her vast background she is currently President of Music 4 My Soul Management LLC and Co-Founder/President of Vision Distribution LLC. Ms Smith has been an advisor to many in the music industry and managed several artists including Quinton Marcel. She has worked with 4 time Grammy winning engineer Alvin Speights, Grammy winner producer and writer Great Scott (Chris Brown), Grammy nominee producer and writer Roger Ryan, and has been affiliated with Lou Rawls, Gladys Knight, Russell Simons, Ryan Seacrest and many more.
